Exhorting people to vote out Samajwadi Party in next Assembly elections BJP’s national president Amit Shah said that the union Government had given thousands of rupees as compensation for farmers who lost crop in recent rains but this Baap-bete ki sarkar has diverted the money in their pet projects. “The Samajwadi Party Government is anti-farmer and anti-people. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav might be talking about the welfare of farmers but the fact is this Government does not want welfare of farmers,” Shah said while addressing a rally in Sikandramau on Friday. He said the union government had asked UP to review loss of crop but this government has refused to do so. “The Modi Government has increased by compensation by including those farmers into the list who have lost 30 per cent of their crop but the state government is yet to submit its report,” he said.
“Despite that the Union Government has given thousands of crores of rupees as compensation for farmers but the state has not distributed that. This Government swears by the name of farmers but does nothing for them,” BJP chief said and asked the people to vote out this government in next election.Talking about the achievements of the Modi Government he said it is the government that works for the welfare of poor. This Government has opened bank accounts of 14 crore people and also provided insurance cover at very cheap rate. “BJP can be a better alternative for you in UP. It is the party that works for the welfare of poor and downtrodden,” he said. UP in-charge Om Mathur also addressed the people.
