SP Govt will fall within six months of Modi coming to power: Uma

In a significant political statement, the fire-brand BJP leader Uma Bharti said that the Akhilesh Yadav government will fall within six months of Narendra Modi coming to power at the Centre.

"Good number of Samajwadi Party MlAs, dissatisfied with the functioning of its own government, are in touch with the BJP and they will trigger the fall," she said during her election tour of lalitpur district on Sunday.

Bharti, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Jhansi parliamentary constituency which covers lalitpur district also, said that the disgruntled SP MlAs would leave their party in a big way to cause the fall of Akhilesh Yadav government. Going a step further, she said even the Uttarakhand government would meet the same fate, but only after Narendra Modi government comes to power.

The former Madhya Pardesh chief minister, also the sitting MlA from Charkhari assembly constituency in Mahoba district of UP, sought to substantiate her claim while adding that there would a mass resignation from Samajwadi Party within six months of Modi government coming at the Centre.

She also predicted that the BJP would form the next government in the state after the fall of Akhilesh government. "Same scenario will emerge in Uttarakhand," she said.

Making light of the Congress' allegation that the money to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore being spent on BJP's publicity was given by Ambani and Adani, Uma Bharti said "these charges are not to be taken seriously. Putting the counter question, she said  "does the Congress has any proof of this."

Vehemently denying another charge of BJP workers putting up posters in Varanasi showing personal details of Gandhi family, she said this was the conspiracy of the Congress as her party could never indulge in such tactics.uma
