Almost all the major political parties flayed two years tenure of Samajwadi Party government and claimed that only criminals and anti-social elements were patronised in the present regime.
``Akhilesh Yadav talks of achievements and that Samajwadi Party fulfilled almost all the poll promises made in 2012 Assembly elections but the reality is that there seems to be no government existing in the state as only criminals mafias and anti-social elements all belonging to Samajwadi Party cadre flourished and freely struck to spread terror in the society", claimed chairman of the media committee of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), Satyavrat Tripathi, while reacting on completion of two years of SP government in office on Saturday.
``The government failure and almost non-existence have been also established by the fact that whether it was matter of cane growers, state employees, doctors at Kanpur who were brutally assaulted by SP legislator and local administration, rampant corruption etc, it was only when High Court intervened that the aggrieved Party hoped of getting some justice", Tripathi added saying in every matter HC had to intervene to resolved the issues which must be taken up at the government level. Tripathi also alleged that the reality behind tall claims of development and progress in the State could be gauged by the fact that this year the government is just able to use 29 per cent of total budget allocation. UPCC media chairman claimed that Akhilesh Yadav failed on all fronts and they had to face the public wrath in the coming elections.
Taking on Samajwadi on law and order front, spokesman of the Bharatiya Janta Party state unit, Manish Mishra said that series of murders, dacoties, loots, rape, etc and even attack on the men in `uniform’ itself speak about existing law and order in the state but what showed the commitment of the government is that despite of state witnessed over 125 communal riots just in last two years, still Akhilesh Yadav talked of good governance. Flaying the self-proclaimed `Secular’ credentials of Samajwadi Party leaders, Mishra alleged that how the entire government went on to appease a particular community just as they wanted to use it as `vote-bank’, is not hidden anyone.
``The probe in Muzaffarnagar as well as action taken in many cases in Western Uttar Pradesh clearly pointed that how directions have been given to the members of law enforcing agencies that they should not initiate any legal proceedings against members of a particular caste and on the contrary, to even impose National Security Act on leaders of other community", alleged Mishra while accusing that for all the communal riots in the State, Akhilesh Yadav’s government is responsible as they just acted to appease one particular community and framed fabricated charges on the other group.
Senior leader of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Swami Prasad Maurya, who is also leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, while once again demanding removal of Akhilesh Yadav’s government and imposing Presidents rule in the State, alleged that there in no law and order prevalent in the State and only `Jungle Raj’ exists.
``Akhilesh Yadav is just counting the development work which are still just on papers but failed to count how many persons and men in uniform were killed in his regime, how many loot, dacolities or even communal riots took place under Akhilesh’s tenure of two years so far or even how many communal riots took place in Uttar Pradesh", said Maurya, adding that Akhilesh seems to have already made a record on maximum communal riots in state so far under Samajwadi Party’s regime.
