SP Govt is only rescuer of youth: CM

Published on:

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that only the Samajwadi Party government was the saviour of youth in the true sense as it provided employment and education while others like the BJP and the BSP used them as vote bank.

“look what happened in 2014. One party came and promised ‘achche din’ for the masses. You voted for that party hoping for good days. Where is the ‘achche din’ IJ Have you got Rs 15 lakh in your account as promised,” the CM said while addressing a rally at Firozabad on Sunday.

Yadav pointed out, “ Similarly there is a party which believed in spending government funds in building memorials for Dalit icons. The party chief’s love for moolah is so profound that she unveiled her own statue carrying a big purse.”

“These parties are back in the act again. They will try to lure people with new promises. They will try to spread canards against the SP government. Do not get swayed by these false promises. If you vote once for these parties, you will suffer and repent in leisure for the next five years,” Yadav said.

The CM also spoke about his recent visit to England and said people there voted to come out of the European Union. “Many did not know what will happen if the UK came out of the EU and now they are repenting. Know the value of your vote and exercise your franchise judiciously,” he said.

Yadav analysed his government’s performance and asked people to vote for development. “Do not waste your vote. Cast it for the party which gave you roads, provided you ‘bijli’ and ensured bright future for your children by providing them laptops and scholarships. What the Samajwadi Party has done in the last four years, no other government can dream of doing it in four decades,” he said.

The CM also spoke on progress the state has made in dairy development, irrigation, state highways and industry sector. “It is holistic development. You name any sector and it has progressed under the SP regime,” he said.  Yadav was in Firozabad to inaugurate development schemes and also distributed wheelchairs to the handicapped. He also promised that if his party returned to power, it will give university status to AK Post Graduate College at Firozabad.
