SP govt creating terror in the name of law, order: BJP

The BJP said that State Government was creating terror on the name of security and had harassed innocent people of the state because they wanted to take out Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama.

Party’s chief spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Monday that people of Ayodhya and Faizabad are the worst sufferers. They are not allowed to move around freely and are being harassed on the name of security.

"The local transport in Ayodhya has been withdrawn. The buses are not plying and the administration has made no effort to transport stranded people to their destination. Curfew like situation prevails in the twin city of Faizabad and Ayodhya," Pathak said.

He said that the state government has imposed ban on Parikrama and deprived people from performing their constitutional rights just to divert the attention of people from its failure. "The Government has taken many steps to appease Muslims. The Government has initiated projects to build boundary walls around graveyard but is silent on cremation ground. The Government announces special financial help for Muslim girls but Hindus are denied the same benefit," he said.

The BJP leader also hailed the High Court decision asking state government to release VHP leaders who were arrested during Sunday’s Yatra. "The court order proves that arrest of these leaders was illegal," Pathak said.
