Congress leader, SP Goswami, who tendered his resignation to Rahul Gandhi just about a fortnight back, came out in open against the policy of high-command for working against the ideologies of the Party. He alleged that those leaders who were responsible for Party’s present position are still enjoying `power’.
Interestingly, in his resignation letter, the decision on which is still pending with the High Command, Goswami had reportedly cited that he was not given any responsibility now for a long time to do something for the Party, so he was very peeved, particularly after looking the present situation of the Organisation. He claimed that he thought that when the High Command had no job for him even during this time of crisis, they there is no use of him remaining in the Party.
However, on Wednesday, Goswami showed his concern for the `Cadre’, the core workers which gave it’s life fighting on streets just to keep the Congress alive. ``It is battle between leaders and Workers for which I was raising my voice and would hold a massive rally here at lucknow to decide further course of action with the workers”, disclosed Goswami, who was not happy with the functioning of Congress high-command. ``Those who enjoyed power and do all damage to the Party, had done nothing for the workers”, asserted Goswami adding that it is irony that the same leaders instead of resigning or being kicked out of their posts, are still grabbing the same place in the organisation.
Without naming AICC general secretary, Madhusudan Mistri, who is also incharge of the Party affairs here in UP, Goswami, who remained as state president of Youth Congress and National Students Union of India, went on record to say that he was surprised that the person who was an RSS conduit has been made as incharge of Party affairs here in UP by the high command. ``Those leaders are felicitated with key posts in the Party who left Congress to seek greener pastures and then returned back”, alleged the Congress leader adding that he could not understand the policy of the high command which on one hand say that they would not give tickets those who lost elections and on the other hand they field candidate for Rajya Sabha polls, who recently lost Parliament elections.
Goswami, while claiming that he was still had top concern for Congress said that he wanted to see the same Party for which leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi had laid their lives. Without openly naming Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi, while making attack on Congress high-command, Goswami claimed that a bunch of leaders who misguide the top leadership just to make personal gain out of it at the cost of the Party still find same place so he decided to raise the voice of the `Workers’ and if no concrete steps would taken even now, he would not hesitate to float a new Party when they would organise a massive rally of Congress main cadre here at lucknow on occasion of death of anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi on January 30.
