Reacting to the statements of Mulayam Singh Yadav where he had blamed BJP for driving a rift in the family, BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the drama was being enacted to divert attention of people from the failure of Akhilesh Yadav Government.
“The allegation of Mulayam Singh Yadav is false. The BJP is not interested in activities of other political parties. Whatever is happening in Yadav clan is a drama enacted to get sympathy for Akhilesh Yadav by projecting him as `bechara’,” Maurya said in a statement here on Wednesday.
He said that Akhilesh Raj had been most tumultuous. Over 500 cases of communal strife has been reported in last four and half years. Terror reigns large in areas of Bareilly where girls have stopped going to schools because of persecution of goonda elements. In Kairana traders have shifted base because of tyranny of some people who are close to power.
“What Samajwadi party has done for them in last four and half yearsIJ. Has it ensured that peace should prevail in these troubled areasIJ Has it ever thought about taking action against those who are harassing girls of majority community,” he asks.
Maurya said that Mulayam Singh Yadav knows about the failure of his son’s government and therefore has attacked BJP to cover up Akhilesh’s misdeeds. This will not work anymore as people now know the reality and will ensure that Samajwadi Party is thrown out of power at the earliest, he said.
About BSP petition against BJP Maurya said how can a party which thrives on caste politics level allegations against BJP.
Meanwhile, a former Rajya saya MP and BSP leaderNarendra Kashyap also joined BJP.
