SP election manifesto is a bundle of lies: Maurya

Calling Samajwadi Party’s election manifesto as bundle of lies BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s attempt to lure youth through smart phones will backfire as present day generation want employment not phones.

“In last election manifesto Samajwadi Party had promised unemployment allowance but failed to fulfill its promise. Then it said it will give laptops and tablets to all class X and XII pass students. Tablet distribution failed to take off while laptop distribution was linked to merit and now government is talking about free distribution of smart phones to the youth,” Maurya said in a statement issued here on Sunday.

He said that Chief Minister should realise that present day youth is full of self respect. He wants employment. The youth of the state were beaten black and blue when they protested against partisan selection of candidates by State Service Commission headed by Anil Yadav.

“Instead of giving promises Chief Minister should tell people what exactly it has done for the people in last five years. The fact is people were facing hunger, unemployment and insecurity while government was busy in minting money through construction of roads and cycle pathways,” BJP state president said.

He said that Samajwadi Party claims itself to be the party of farmers but it did not say a word about suicide committed by farmers during last tenure. The SP government has also failed to provide security to the traders.

“During his last election campaign Akhilesh Yadav had said that he will take action against Pathar ke ghotale wali sarker but has not said what action it has taken against that sarkar,” he said.
