The 'outsider' jibe of CM Akhuilesh Yadav seemed to have divided the Samajwadi Party in two halves. While one section wants the ouster of Amar Singh from the party, the other wants that the decision be left to Mulayam Singh Yadav.
SP national general secretary Prof Ram Gopal Yadav said that what Akhilesh has said about the 'outsider' was absolutely correct.
When asked to name that person, he said, ''Party workers think Amar Singh is one of them.''
''He (Amar Singh) has created problems in the past too but despite the opposition of several SP leaders, he was re-inducted in the party even sent to the Rajya Sabha. Singh never thinks in the interest of the party. He always thinks about himself. He said that he is 'Mulayamwadi' not a 'Samajwadi'. What does this meanIJ" he querried.
Another senior leader Md Azam Khan said that the Chief Minister did not name anyone when he pointed at an 'outsider' responsible for the fiasco. "Why Amar Singh gave his clarification. `Chor ki daadhi mein tinka hai’," he said.
Naresh Agarwal too said that outsiders should not have a say in party matters. “Some people try to mis-guide Mulayam Singh Yadav and they have succeeded so far,” he said without taking any name.
But party’s newly appointed state president Shivpal Singh Yadav said, "Amar Singh was inducted into party by Neta ji. It was his decision and we should honour that."
“The party can grow if we add more people into the party. All lohiavadi and Gandhivadi should come under one banner. We should not think about ousting anyone from the party. let Neta ji take a call on this,” Shivpal said.
