Citing party statute the ruling Samjwadi Party dissolved four organization including Samajwadi Brahmin Sabha saying these organizations were not constituted as per party's constitution and word Samajwadi was included illegally to mislead the people.
State party president and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav dissolved the Samajwadi Brahmin Sabha, Samajwadi Baudhik Sabha, Samajwadi Viklang Sabha and Samajwadi Vypar Sabha with immediate effect. A statement issued by the party unit here on Monday said that earlier party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav had instructed the party leaders not to float any other cell or name their organisations starting with Samajwadi. "Now only 14 cells would be in operation as per the Constitution of the party. Barring these other organizations stand dissolved or the party does not have any relation with them," Akhilesh Yadav said.
Earlier Allahabad High Court had order ban on all caste based rallies or meetings in the state saying these are against constitution and had even sent notices to four political parties-- Congress, BJP, SP and BSP. Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said that the party’s decision has nothing to do with the Court order. "The directive issued last month was clear warning to dissolve those units carry Samajwadi name with it. The decision was taken earlier and the order was issued on Monday," he said.
