On the fourth anniversary of the Samajwadi Party government, the party celebrated it as `Samajwadi Vikas Diwas’ across the state on Tuesday. Ministers, MlAs and other senior leaders presided over celebratory functions at district headquarters and block levels.
SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said in lucknow that the first day of the two-day ‘Samajwadi Vikas Diwas’ was celebrated at 400 of the total 831 development blocks in the state on Tuesday. The other blocks will celebrate the occasion on Wednesday.
Chaudhary said 48 ministers and 27 MlAs and other leaders participated in the first day of ‘Samajwadi Vikas Diwas’ on Tuesday. He said that during such meetings in the districts and the blocks, people were apprised of the achievements of the Akhilesh Yadav government and publicity material was distributed among them. The SP spokesman said that 500 beneficiaries of different development and welfare schemes were invited at functions at district headquarters and 500 at the block to share their experience. He said that the turnout of participants at the district and block levels were far beyond the number of people invited by the party.
Chaudhary said that in Etawah, PWD minister Shivpal Yadav presided over the function and apprised people of the achievements of the SP government.
In Saharanpur, cabinet minister Balram Yadav, Ram Govind Choudhary in Soneebhadra, SP Yadav in Faizabad, Gayatri Prajapati in Agra, Parasnath Yadav in Aligarh, Raj Kishore Singh in Balrampur, Shahid Manzoor in Banda, Brahmashankar Tripathi in Shahjahanpur, Om Prakash Singh in Gonda, Awadesh Prasad in Maharajganj, Vinod Kumar Singh in Basti, Mehboob Ali in Kanpur Dehat and Arvind Singh Gope presided over the functions.
