SP came in way of Congress's march to lodge their protest against failure of BJP

Samajwadi Party led government came in way of Congress’s march to lodge their protest against failure of Narendra Modi’s led Bharatiya Janta Party’s government in the centre, on completion of it’s hundred days in office.

UPCC president, Nirmal Khatri, MP in Rajya Sabha, Pramod Tewari, former UPCC chief and MlA, Reeta Bahuguna Joshi, MlA, Akhilesh Pratap Singh, and over hundred of other leaders were taking into custody for violation of Section 144 of Cr PC under apprehension of breach of peace here on Tuesday afternoon. local district administration, who earlier denied permission to Congress to take out peaceful march, came in way just outside UPCC office, where they already put a barricade and deployed heavy police force to strictly implement with the prohibitory orders.

Interestingly, Congressmen alleged that the SP acted against them just as they had understanding with the BJP and did not want to anyone protest against the central government. ``Contrary to action against Congressmen on Tuesday, on Monday, hundred of leaders of BJP including many MPs collected at GPO Park to protest against the state government for poor law and order problem, deteriorating power condition etc, but the administration allowed them and remained mute spectators despite of prohibitory order”, alleged former union minister, Beni Prasad Verma, adding that the action of local administration at behest of state government just supported their earlier allegations that both BJP and Samajwadi Party were hand-in-glove and supporting each other just to polarise the vote bank and making political gains out of it. ``If they can stop us from taking peaceful procession in the name of prohibitory order, why they were sleeping when the BJP done the same against state government on Monday”, Verma questioned alleging that the public now very well know the sinister plan of BJP and SP and would teach them a lesson in the coming by-polls.

Meanwhile flaying BJP Government on it’s completion of 100-days, UPCC president, Nirmal Khatri said that Narendra Modi, during his election campaigning, had promised to bring black money and to control prices within 100 days, but nothing happened so far. Besides the international border in this regime is being threatened by Pakistan and China frequently, he said while adding that Modi was just talking about the dreams but doing nothing in the ground.

“All the claims of increased growth rate of the country and other developmental works by the BJP government was the ground work of the UPA government. They are just taking the credit,” Khatri alleged. Before being taken into custody, Khatri said that partymen are only expressing the “anger among the people against the Modi government”. This is the beginning of the anger against the government which has “failed to live upto the expectations” of the people, Khatri said, adding, that this (expression of anger) would continue in future also through different means.

UPCC also criticised administration for stopping them from taking out peaceful march. The party workers were taking out a peaceful march which is the fundamental right of any political party against the “failure of the Modi government” on the completion of 100 days, but the administration had set up barricades and did not allow us to move ahead, alleged UPCC spokesman, Amarnath Agarwal. The administration had “denied permission” to take out the march on the grounds that election process is underway and the protest was not to be staged anywhere in the lucknow east assembly constituency where by poll is due, he said.
