The Samajwadi Party criticised the Congress and BJP for playing on the sentiments of the people for their own vested interests.
Senior minister and spokesman of the SP, Rajendra Choudhary said here on Saturday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and BJP's prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had lost revelance in the eyes of the people. They were only making tall speeches in toremain in media headlines but such statements could gain confidence of the public.
The SP leader said both Rahul Gandhi and Modi promised development but the people were wise enough to read into their intentions since they only pursued their own political ambitions. He stated while Congress had virtually become a symbol of corruption, scams and price rise, the Gujarat riots had cast a shadow over Modi. On the other hand, the SP had put an end to BSP's faulty policies and was working for bringing an environment of change in the state.
