Government said that 80 per cent of pollution in the river is due to the domestic waste and remaining 20 per cent because of industrial waste. BJP members also raised the issue of rampant cow slaughtering in Bareilly, Rampur etc and blamed the government for it’s inaction. However, leader of the House, Ahmed Hassan said that strict action has been already taken in each and every case and if BJP advise them of any other action, than government would also initiate it. Unsatisfied with the reply, the BJP members staged a walk-out from the House.

The Chairman of the House, Ganesh Shankar Pandey, later intervened and directed the government to ensure that the machine should be brought to use at earliest.
