Congress president Sonia Gandhi dared the Narendra Modi government to order an enquiry into allegations against her son-in-law Robert Vadra, who has been accused of owing a `benami’ property in london. Gandhi said  that it was part of a conspiracy of the BJP in taking forward their agenda of 'Congress-Mukt Bharat.'

"if a probe was conducted in a fair way the truth would come out. 'I have never seen anything like this. Modi ji is a PM, not a Shehenshah,'' Sonia said while reacting questions from media persons after inaugurating a Panchayat Bhawan in Dalmau  on Tuesday. She is on a two-day visit to her Parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli.

"Everyday, they charge my family. But till date, they have not been able to prove any thing. This NDA government was trying to defame my family through conspiracies," she lashed out.

"The Modi government, has failed to provide any succour to the poor and farmers. In order to divert attention of people, the party was gflaoting new conspiracies everyday to defame my family," alleged Sonia Gandhi

lambasting the NDA government celebrations on completion two years at the Centre, Gandhi said, "This government came to power by making fake promises and now celebrating its second anniversary making fake claims. It has neither done anything for the poor in the two-year regime, nor have they launched any new scheme. They just renamed  the existing schemes of UPA II government and hijacked the credit,"she asserted.

Earlier, Gandhi reached Fursatganj airport in Rae Bareli on Tuesday morning. After inaugurating the Nagar Panchayat Bhawan at Dalmaum she met district party leaders and workers at Bhuyemau guest house. She also delkicitated children of Rae Bareli who figured in the merit list of different board examinations.
