Congress president Sonia Gandhi asked the Party leaders and workers to gear-up and appraised the public about the welfare programme and steps taken up by the United Progressive Alliance for development and progress of the State particularly in Rae Bareli and Amethi. She also interacted with all the ten wings of the Congress and discussed them that how they should proceed to ensure maximum seats for the Party in coming Parliament elections.
Soon after landing at Fursatganj airport in Rae Bareli on two-day tour to her Parliament constituency on Monday evening, Congress president Sonia Gandhi hold meetings with the Congress leaders at Bhue Mau guest house. She met almost all the units of the Congress which included youth congress, NSUI, all frontal organizations etc. later she welcomed the Party workers who concluded their `Congress Vikas Janchetna Yatra’ at Bhue Mau guest house. local MP from Rae Bareli, who stopped at several places to acknowledge the greetings of the public as well as to listen to their problems has been also given a warm welcome at ITI. It may be mentioned that Sonia Gandhi, already get a revival package of Rs 4156 Crore for the ITI.
Reports said that after the night stay, Sonia Gandhi will hold Janata Durbar on Tuesday morning at the guest house and later will go for surprise inspection of the developmental works in her constituency. She is expected to return to New Delhi from Fhursatganj airport in the evening.
