Questioning the role of Constitutional heads the Samajwadi Party in its political resolution said that many times Governors behave like Chief Ministers creating problems for the state Government.
The party in its political and economic resolutions tabled in the ninth national convention here on Wednesday has taken a strong exception to Governor making political statements and trying to act like a Chief Minister.
Though the resolution against the Governor did not mention any name but said that he (Governor) is the representative of the President but sometime he tries to cross that constitutional line creating problem for the state government.
The resolutions, tabled by SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav and seconded by UP assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey, said that now discussions were on whether the post of the Governor should be abolished in the country.
The party has also made a critical remark on the judiciary particularly the Supreme Court saying that some of its judgements have created anarchy in the country.
The resolution said police cannot arrest a person under the section which has less then 7 years of punishment means that any criminal can slap a PM or CM but he cannot be arrested.
Similarly, recently SC said that case against policemen would be registered in an encounter case. “This judgement will prevent policemen from taking action against the criminals or naxalites in the country. The Supreme court should reconsider these judgements which could create problem in the society,” the resolution said. Discussions on the 16-page political and economic resolutions have started and it would be adopted on Thursday.
The Samajwadi Party in its economic resolution also expressed concern on the financial condition of the country and blamed that China has made the country a dumping ground. These Chinese goods have adversely affected our cottage and small scale industries.
The SP resolution had made critical remark on the BJP claiming that the through social media and video it had tried to divide the society on the name of religion. ‘’The BJP government at the Centre is like a wall of sand and it could come down any day as countdown has started,’’ the resolution said.
It is unfortunate that the BJP government could not prepare the roadmap for generating employment, controlling inflation or preventing corruption in 100 days of its regime but now the Prime Minister has launched the clean Ganga drive from US which is just a joke.
The party through its resolutions also called upon the party activists and the youths to defeat the communal forces and go to the people highlighting the achievements of the UP government.
