Amid the ‘temple run’ of the political leaders in Uttar Pradesh where assembly elections are due in 2022, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, along with Rajya Sabha member and UP incharge of Aam Aadmi Party, Sanjay Singh, and party’s state president worshiped Rama Lalla in Ayodhya on Monday.

Sisodia is scheduled to attend the party’s ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Ayodhya on Tuesday. The Delhi deputy chief minister’s visit to the temple town raised the political temperature to a new high in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Sisodia and Sanjay Singh recited Hanuman Chalisa in Hanuman Garhi. Both AAP leaders then went to Rasik Peeth, Janki Ghat and Bada Sthan where they took the blessings of seers.

Speaking on this occasion, Sisodia said Ram raj was the biggest inspiration for the world for the well-being of public and transparent governance.

Sisodia said he prayed to Lord Ram to put AAP in power in UP so that the state’s people had a good governance like one in Delhi under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal.

Earlier, on his visit to the Ram Lalla temple, Sisodia said Lord Ram established such a standard of governance in Ayodhya that even today Ram raj was a source of inspiration for all governments. He said AAP had succeeded in setting a new definition of politics by opting for honesty and development and all this was possible by blessing of Lord Ram and the seers of Ayodhya.

“The Tiranga Yatra will prove its mettle in UP and by the blessings of Lord Sri Ram, AAP will come up with a new definition of nationalism,” he said.

Sisodia was welcomed by the AAP leaders and he first reached Hanuman Garhi where he along with Sanjay Singh recited Hanuman Chalisa and later took blessings from Mahant Shri Prem Das and later left to offer prayers at the Ram Lalla temple. The AAP leaders also took part in a bhandara and took prasad there.

Speaking on this occasion, Sanjay Singh said the Tiranga Yatra to be launched in Ayodhya on Tuesday would be historical. He said the yatra had taken place in Lucknow, Agra, Mathura and Noida earlier and it got huge support from the public. He said Sisodia would be the chief guest at the Tiranga Yatra in Ayodhya.
