Shivpal Yadav criticises demonetisation policy

Taking a jibe at the prime minister, the state president of the Samajwadi party  Shivpal Yadav has said the banks and the ATMs seems to have taken the slogan of  Naredra Modi `too seriously’ as both have gone cash less.

``The ill advised move of the NDA government  to withdraw the high value currency notes has not served any purpose except derailing the economy and causing huge hardships to the millions of the people of the country’’, said Shivapl Yadav while talking to media in the state office of the party here on Sunday. He said the overwhelming majority of the people of India have rejected the policy of demonetisation.

Claiming that there was no black money in the form of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes Shivpal  Yadav said ``Prime minister after the failure of the demonetisation is shifting the goalpost . He is no longer talking of black money but of cash less economy. Most of the currency notes of 500 and 1,000 have already been deposited in the banks which prove that there no black money in the form of high value currency notes’’.

He said the prime objective of the NDA government behind demonetisation has been defeated as all the high value notes have returned to the banking system. Besides this the government will have to incur unnecessary expenditure of over 1.25 lakh core rupees in printing new currency. Moreover against the 50 day trouble promised by the prime minister it will take over 3 months for the situation to normalise. Moreover if the experts are to be believed then it will take 6 months time to print the new currency and take years for the economy to recover from the shock of demonetisation.

“Prime minister has realised that the slogan of black money proved to be a `jumla’ so he has floated the new idea of making India cash less economy. Cash less is a cruel joke with the common people of India as only 2 percent of the population has the credit card and half of the population has no access to banking service and asking such people to go cash less is the height of insensitivity of the government’’, charged the SP leader.
