Senior Samajwadi Party leaders and PWD Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav clarified that he has no family relations with lokayukta in-waiting Justice (retd) Virendra Singh.
“There are some reports highlighting matrimonial relations between me and my family with Justice Retd Virendra Singh. I wish to clarify that there is no relation between me and his family,” Yadav said in a statement here on Sunday.
Reports claim that after Supreme Court had named Justice (retd) Virendra Singh as next lokayukta Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court DV Chandrachud had written a letter to Governor Ram Naik highlighting matrimonial relations between Shivpal Yadav and Justice (retd) Virendra Singh.
Yadav said: “Media has claimed family ties between him and Virendra Singh. This news is wrong.”
