Governor Ram Naik on the advice of the Chief Minister, located nine departments to Shivpal Yadav. With this,Shivpal will now hold charge of 13 departments against the nine departments previously. The CM has however retained the PWD which was earlier held by Shivpal.
Earlier on September 15, the CM had divested Shivpal of important portfolios like PWD, Irrigation, Revenue and Cooperatives after SP chief Mulayam Singh replaced him with Shivpal as the head of the state SP unit. While Akhilesh had allotted Irrigation and Flood Control were added to Avadesh Prasad' kitty, Revenue and Cooperative departments weregiven to Balram Yadav.
However, as per the truce brokered by the SP patriarch on Friday, all portfolios except PWD have been restored to Shivpal Yadav.
The department allotted to Shivpal Yadav on Saturday include Irrigation, Flood control, Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Disaster and Public Service Management, Cooperative, Medical Education, Ayush and Minor Irrigation.
Meanwhile, the date for reinduction of former Mining minister Gyatri Prajapati in the cabinet is yet to be decided. The minister was sacked by the CM earlier this week. Prajapati will be reinducted in the cabinet as per Mulayam Singh's peace formula.
In a statement, the Governor said that he would decide about the date of administering oath of office to Gyatri Prajapati after talking to the Chief Minister.
