Shivapal Singh praises govt for improving Education sector

Senior Samajwadi Party leader and minister in the state government Shivpal Singh Yadav said that the government was doing its best to kindle the light of knowledge across the state to dispel the darkness of ignorance.

“A state can progress only of the children are educated. The onus lies on the teachers to impart basic values in the children so that they can differentiate between bad and good,” Yadav said while inaugurating a school building in Karhal on Sunday. He said that Akhilesh Yadav Government is working hard to bring smiles on the faces of each person. “Ours is the state that provides free education, free dress and books to the students. The girls are given scholarships so that they can fulfill their dreams,” Yadav who is also PWD Minister in the state said.

“It is only Samajwadi Party Government that initiated the project to distribute laptops among students. We distributed them among all students without differentiating in caste, creed and religion. We did it because we believe that modern technology bring all the students at par,” Yadav said and added many neighbouring states are now copying this project. He also said that a canard is being spread against Samajwadi Party that they are anti-english. We believe that equal opportunity should be given to all languages to flourish. Had we been anti-english we would not have started English medium schools, he said. “We promote Hindi because it is spoken by villagers. But at the same time we say speak English,” he said.
