With the lucknow district administration confirming that Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali will be performing for the citizens at lucknow Mahotsav onDecember 3, the UP unit of Shiv Sena has threatened to disrupt the programme terming it as an attempt of Samajwadi Party government to ‘tease’ the majority community.
UP Shiv Sena chief, Anil Singh said that Ghulam Ali will face more protests in the state capital. “We have warned the UP government not to invite Ali or any Pakistani artist in the state but it is yet to react to it. We have planned to disrupt the programme,” Singh told the media in lucknow on Thursday.
“The act of the UP government to roll out a red carpet to a Pakistani is aimed at teasing the majority community when every day our soldiers are being killed on the border by Pakistan,” he said.
Meanwhile, Singh said that Shiv Sena will broaden its political presence in the state. The Sena will contest all 403 Assembly seats in UP in the 2017 polls. “We will also contest in bypolls for three Assembly seats to be held in UP soon,” he said.
