With an aim to attract backwards towards party fold BJP national president Amit Shah will unveil a statue of Raja Suhel Deo in Bahraich on Wednesday when he would be coming to Uttar Pradesh for his two day visit. BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that after unveiling the statue Shah will also address a rally. Shah will also address a rally at Balrampur and law foundation stone of Atal Bhawan there, he said. Balrampur had been a karmasthali of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was elected twice from there in 1957 and 1967.

The high point of Shah’s visit to UP is unveiling the statue of Raja Suheldev outside the famous Gullaveer Temple. This 11th century Passi king had vanquished a Muslim warrior, Salar Masood Ghazi. BJP also wants to project Raja Suhel deo as Hindu warrior who fought to safeguard Hindus from Muslims. As per programme Shah will come to lucknow on Wednesday and will inaugurate the new state BJP office on Thursday morning.

Thereafter he will leave for New Delhi. UP is back on the focus of BJP as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had paid obeisance at Sant Ravi Das’s temple in Varanasion Monday last and would be coming to UP again on February 28 when he will address farmers’ rally in Bareilly.
