Shah for strengthening BJP at booth-level

Stressing for strengthening of booth BJP’s general Secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Amit Shah said that party can win elections on the basis of booth not MPs and legislators. "If our booth system is strong and cadre working like a well oiled machine no one can stop us," he said.

Addressing workers in a meeting in Gorakhpur he said that the onus to ensure victory of party rests with district president. If he is active no one can stop us from winning elections, he said.  He talked about failure of the UPA Government in controlling price rise and failure of Akhilesh Government in stemming crime rate. It is the right time for us to give an alternate government at the centre and provide relief to the people, he said.

The BJP general secretary also held meeting with party leaders of 11 lok Sabha constituencies of eastern UP and discussed about the ways and means to strengthen the party base at the booth level before the next year's lok Sabha elections. Shah also visited Gorakshanath temple in Gorakhpur on Sunday and took the blessings from Mahant Avaidyanath, the head of the temple.

Refusing to speak to the mediapersons here, the BJP leader, who is on his maiden visit to Eastern UP, said he got the post of the party general secretary with much difficulty and speaking before the media could create problems for him. Shah also discussed political issues with local MP and heir to the Gorakshanath temple Yogi Adityanath. On Saturday Shah had visited Ayodhya and had prayed to lord Ram for early construction of Ram Temple and ouster of the UPA-II government at the Centre.
