The Uttar Pradesh government has restored the secretariat allowance for the employees of the state secretariat.
The payment of allowance was stopped in May 2020, following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The order for the allowance issued on Tuesday comes into force with immediate effect from January 1.
The order issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Radha Chauhan clarified that no arrears of the allowance from April 2020 to December 31, 2021 would be payable to the employees.
