In a shocking incident, the principal of a private school in Amethi was arrested for allegedly molesting a Class 11 student.
According to police reports, the principal had called the girl to school on Sunday to fill a form. Despite it being a holiday, the 17-year-old went to the school with her Aadhaar card to fill the form. The girl later complained to her parents that the principal molested her in the school.
Musafirkhana police station SHO Amar Singh said that based on the complaint of the victim's father, the principal was arrested and booked under the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The girl was sent for medical examination.
Meanwhile in Shahjahanpur, a man was arrested for sexually abusing a 30-year-old woman and holding her captive, police said on Monday.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Kumar, the accused, Imran, who lives in the city, used to work in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district. He had an affair with a 30-year-old woman. It is alleged that he established physical relations with the woman after obtaining her consent by making a false promise of marriage. The accused then took the woman to Delhi where his friend raped her.
The woman has alleged that the accused kept her locked in a place in Delhi. After managing to escape from there, she returned to her home in Chhattisgarh, where she lodged a complaint with the Bastar police. Following the complaint, the Chhattisgarh police contacted Shahjahanpur police, after which a team was formed with the local police which arrested the accused on Sunday night.
The accused was produced before a local court in Shahjahanpur on Monday from where the police procured his transit remand to take him to Chhattisgarh and produce him before a local court there.
