Samajwadi party to challenge Yogi Adityanath.

Samajwadi Party charged that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was proving to be unequal to the task of administering the state. The party claimed that the command of the administration seemed to have slipped out of the CM’s hands as even a cabinet minister was forced to threaten to stage a dharna for fulfillment of demands.

Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said in lucknow on Monday that the state administration was looking helpless before criminals and anti-social elements. He said that repeated statements by top BJP leaders of Delhi and UP seemed to have made no impact on the cadres and the state officials continued to be threatened and intimidated by BJP leaders.

Chaudhary said that the overall situation in the state has deteriorated to such an extent that even a cabinet minister is threatening to stage dharna for the transfer of a district magistrate. Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar while threatening to sit on a dharna against DM of Ghazipur had alleged that the officer was patronizing corruption.

The SP spokesman said that BJP leaders publically manhandled officers in several districts and a woman police officer in Bulandshahar was shunted out under the pressure of local BJP leaders. “The only fault of the woman officer was that she tried to enforce the law of the land,” he charged.

Chaudhary alleged that in the last 100 days of BJP regime in UP, development process has come to a halt and law and order has collapsed. He said that the sole agenda of BJP government has been vendetta against Opposition parties and their leaders.

The SP leader expressed hope that Governor Ram Naik would take cognizance of the fast deteriorating situation in the state and discharge his constitutional obligations accordingly.
