Samajwadi Party said that Mayawati has no rights to talk about development

Hitting out at BSP national president Samajwadi Party said that Mayawati has no rights to talk about development as her regime had taken the state back by almost 10 years with development coming to a naught.
“It looks very odd to listen to word development from the mouth of Mayawati. For her development was only restricted to construction of monuments and earning commissions through her officers,” Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said in a statement issued here on Thursday.
He was reacting to the allegations of BSP chief that Samajwadi Party had only copied the development schemes that were launched by her government.
“Where was development in Mayawati’s tenureIJ” asks Chaudhry. “The law and order situation was bad. The then government had claimed that Uttar Pradesh would be made power surplus state by 2012 but not a single thermal power plant came during her tenure. Instead the government lefta  burden of Rs 25,000 crore as power due on us. Even not a single industry set up its base in UP,” he said.
Chaudhry, who is also cabinet rank minister in Akhilesh Yadav government said that with his pro-people policies Akhilesh Yadav has brought the state back to rails. The law and order situation has improved. Farmers are getting water for irrigation, seeds and fertilizers. The students got laptop. Now the BPl families will get pension.
“The Akhilesh Government thinks about the holistic development of the state. So policies for all sections of the society have been launched. We have catered to the welfare of weavers, farm labourers and widows. There is a long list of policies that we have launched for the people,” he said.
