Hitting out at BJP the main opposition Samajwadi Party said that announcements of 40 lakh jobs and investment of over Rs 4 lakh crore made in the just concluded are nothing but a promise made keeping the 2019 elections in mind.

Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said that the BJP leadership is expert in jumla bazi and what happened in last two days on the name of Investors Meet was nothing making high promises.

“The intention of the Government is not serious. The leadership did not present a concrete formula as how it will provide better facility to the investors. This was the reason as why investors left in a hurry and did not attend the second day of the Investors Meet,” Chaudhry said in a statement issued here on Friday.

He said real development took place during Akhilesh Yadav’s regime which was even appreciated by Anand Mahendra, Chairman  of Mahendra and Mahendra when he talked about the success of Dial 100 project. “But the BJP government did not utter a word about this. If roads of UP are good today it is because of the efforts of the previous government,” he said.

SP spokesman said that this is very strange that all of a sudden Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister flew down to lucknow and took part in the meet. Why this government has shown such interest when it is running the last lap of its tenure.

“The indication is quite clear. The Government has made announcements keeping elections of 2019 in mind,” he said.
