Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance unethical claims Naidu

Terming the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance as unethical tie formed to fool people, Union Urban Development minister and senior BJP leader Venkaih Naidu said that it was a truck of corruption and criminalisation and the people will teach the two parties a lesson.

“The SP-Congress alliance has been forged to strengthen the institution of corruption and family politics in the state. Both parties have lost people’s faith. They have joined hands to resurrect their political careers as both are sinking ships,” Naidu said while addressing reporters in lucknow on Friday.

The Union minister said that the people respect Mulayam Singh Yadav for the sacrifices he has made for Samajwadi Party but the way he was marginalised was unfortunate.

“It is surprising that Akhilesh left his father and took Rahul Gandhi on the back seat of his bicycle. People won’t accept this and they will certainly give a reply to this alliance in this election,” he further said.

Naidu exhorted the people to support the BJP saying that the state could not progress until his party came to power in UP. ‘’All the funds given by the Narendra Modi government to UP has been siphoned off as development is not on the agenda of the Samajwadi Party,” he said.

Highlighting the ignorance of the Akhilesh Yadav government about Centre’s policy of ‘Housing for all in urban areas’, the Union minister said that even after writing several times for construction of 30 lakh houses in 628 cities, the state has only sent proposal for 20,000 houses when over 10 lakh people have registered on the online portal.

“This shows how the present SP government is working. Even smaller states like Andhra Pradesh has demanded 1.93 lakh houses, Telangana 80,000 houses and Tamil Nadu 2 lakh houses. But the largest state of UP has just demanded 20,000 houses,” he pointed out.

Criticising both the SP and BSP for institutionalising corruption in UP, Naidu alleged that while the BSP regime had made it a single window system, the SP government converted it into a retail system with small and big leaders involved in it.

The Union minister also mentioned how the crime rate in the state had gone up and every single citizen was feeling unsafe.

Claiming that the demonetisation move by the Centre had a positive impact, Naidu said that inflation has come down while corruption has also been reduced due to the move.

Mentioning BJP’s ideology on Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Naidu said that the party had never changed its stand on the issue.

“ Ram Temple was never a political agenda for the party. It was just an issue of faith. The BJP always wants a grand Ram Temple at Ayodhya through amicable way. But leaders like Mulayam Singh Yadav and others have always worked as a spanner on the issue,” he further said.

The Union minister also lambasted the opposition parties for obstructing reforms in the country by derailing several important Bills in the Rajya Sabha.

“By winning UP, the BJP will strengthen its number in Rajya Sabha. Thus these opposition parties would not be able to obstruct these Bills. Only due to opposition, the GST Bill had to be delayed which has affected the country and its people,” Naidu said.

lauding the Narendra Modi government for bringing respect and honour to the country worldwide, he said that this Union government has made agreements with Canada and Australia on supply of uranium besides now all the agencies have accepted that India’s growth rate is favourable when the world is facing economic slump.

“The road to development in the country leads through UP. Till the state is brought out from the ‘BIMARU’ state, nothing could happen. This change can only be brought about by the BJP,” he said.

Naidu further said that the Centre has approved the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut.
