Principal Assistant in Child Development and Nutrition Department in Rampur, Ompal Singh Saini, would face a probe by the sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Department, for earning huge wealth than all his known resources. State Information Commissioner, Hafiz Usman, who get a primarily enquiry conducted against the above officer, claimed that finding Saini involved in corruption, besides report of sexual harassment
against him, he decided to get a matter probed under Disproportionate Assets case against him. He also claimed to have ordered district police chief of Rampur to enquire other charges against Saini and submit a report within a month for further action in the matter. The action so far against Saini has been taken on the findings of probe conducted by District Program Officer of Rampur on directions of Usman. It may be also mentioned that another Departmental enquiry has been already on against Saini after he disappeared from duty for several days without making any information or prior permission. He was also transferred to Shamli on charges of corruption.
Reports said that project officer in Child Development and Nutrition Department in Rampur had filed an appeal in the IC Hafiz Usman’s court through which she brought the corrupt practices of Ompal Singh Saini, posted as Principal Assistant in same Department at Rampur. Usman was informed that besides earning huge wealth through extortion from the officials engaged in projects associated with the said Department, Saini had also reportedly raped a Angadwadi Worker in 2011 and that matter was under trial in the local court at Rampur. In his report filed with the SIC, the district program officer in Rampur disclosed that besides other properties, Saini also owned a huge bungalow at Brijvihar Colony at Gangapur Awav Vikas Yojna, whose estimated cost should be not less than Rs 1 crore. Usman claimed that on basis of the above report, he ordered ADG (Anti-Corruption Organisation), to conduct a probe under DA case against Saini and submit a report within a month. He also claimed to have ordered SP Rampur, to look into criminal antecedents of Saini and also to submit a report within a month so that appropriate action could be taken against Saini.
