Advocating legislation for construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sadhvi Ritambhara said the Hindu community was losing patience and could not wait any further.
“Either the government should bring an ordinance or the court should give its judgement. If justice is delayed then it is meaningless. It is a fact that people are now losing patience and the government should do something,” she said.
The Sadhvi, who is the mascot of Ayodhya movement, said that it was understandable that courts were not under the control of government. “What the government can do, it should do. It can bring a legislation in favour of construction of Ram temple and it should do that,” she said.
Sadhvi Ritambhara, who appeared before the special court hearing the Babri demolition case here on Friday, said that the delay in judgement was a mockery of Hindu sentiments.
“For how long the Hindu community will have to wait for the decision of the court as the case is not in their priority list. Our Lord Ram is in a tent in Ayodhya. This sight is painful and people want a grand temple for Lord Ram,” Sadhvi told media persons.
Sadhvi Ritambhara said the heart of Hindus beats on the name of Lord Ram. “Therefore, it is the duty of the government and the court to take a swift decision,” she said.
She further said that the saints had already announced to give a date for start of construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya during their Dharam Sansad to be held this month at Kumbh in Prayagraj.
“We do not want to go against the law but delay by the court has forced us to take a strict decision,” she said.
