Rumbling in BJP state leadership has begun

Rumbling in BJP state leadership has begun after the party fared badly in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections winning just 3 assembly seats against 10 it contested in the recent elections.
Some leaders have even blamed the leadership on the selection of the candidates and demanded discussion within the party so that party could reach a conclusion as why BJP lost bye-election. Former BJP state president Om Prakash Singh has demanded that an open discussion should take place in the party. “There should be threadbare discussion to know the reasons of party’s defeat,” he said.
But some leaders blamed misuse of official machinery and rigging by the Samajwadi Party for the party’s debacle. BJP legislature party is meeting on Friday to discuss the political situation in the state post by-elections.State BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Thursday that the legislature party meeting had been convened by the leader Suresh Khanna. “The legislators will meet Governor Ram Naik and will submit a memorandum over the law and order problem,  power crisis, delay in payment cane dues and other issues,” Pathak said.
He also alleged that a UP minister Haji Ikram Qureshi had falsely voted in Thakurdwara assembly bypolls in Moradabad while he was not a voter. Meanwhile a section of the BJP leaders in Kanpur brought out a rally demanding Varun Gandhi be appointed as leader of the party in the state.
