Earlier, in a Team-9 meeting on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that with the policy of trace, test and treatment for prevention of Covid-19, efforts being made for the protection of life and livelihood of the people of the state were yielding satisfactory results as new cases are decreasing continuously, while the number of healthy people was increasing every day.
The CM said that acting on the policy of aggressive testing,  2 .91 lakh tests were conducted across the state in the last 24 hours. “The large-scale testing campaign aimed at keeping the villagers safe from Corona is yielding good results.  Work should be done to increase the number of RRTs. The process of increasing the testing capacity of laboratories should be expedited,” he said.
At present, 82,801 positive cases are under home isolation.  For their speedy recovery, the system of medical counseling should be further improved through tele-consultation.  “There is a need to increase the number of doctors. Medical kits should be made available to patients of home isolation and their families as per the need through monitoring committees.  Continuous monitoring of the medical kit distribution system should be done.  Communicate with patients through district ICCC and CM Helplines and check the facilities being provided to them.  Senior, experienced and elderly physicians should be approached and requested to help patients through tele-counselling,” he said.
The CM claimed that UP ranked first among  the Indian states in providing Covid vaccine cover to people above 45 years and in the age group of 18-44. So far, 1.56 crore Covid vaccines have been administered in the state. Vaccine shots to 1.07 lakh people aged 18-44 years in 23 districts of the state were given on Wednesday while 7.46 lakh people in this age group have received vaccine jabs till date.
