RSS says Modi govt should fulfil promises made during elections

As if giving an advise to the Bharatiya Janata Party the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) said that Narendra Modi government should fulfill the promises made during lok Sabha elections particularly pertaining to black money stashed in Swiss banks and construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

“We don’t know what the problem is on declaring names of people who have stashed black-money in foreign banks. It is the duty of the government to clear the hurdles. like common

people, RSS also wants disclosure of names in the black-money issue,” said Sangh Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi here on Monday.

Similarly, the RSS leader said, Ram Temple already exist in Ayodhya and people worship there on daily basis. “The only issue is to make it a grand temple. As the matter is in the Supreme Court, hence the Centre should try to remove the hurdle and fulfill the promise made to the people during the elections,’ he said.

However, the RSS leader was all praise for the BJP government at the Centre and claimed that the ‘wave of Change’ that started during the lok Sabha elections is still continuing.

When asked whether BJP should take support of NCP he said: “RSS has no role to even comment on whether BJP should go with Shiv Sena or NCP in formation of government in Maharastra. The decision should be taken by the BJP leaders themselves. The RSS never interferes in any political matters.”

On love Jihhad issue Joshi said Hindu community should be made aware about the matter and it should not be seen as a communa matter “because it is the girl who is victim in this case.”

The leader refused to comment on Meerut love Jihhad case where the girl retracted her  statement, however, on Jharkhand issue involving a girl shooter, he said the incident was related to love Jihhad.

The three day meeting of the RSS national working council ended here on Sunday with a resolve to extend shakhas in the rural areas.

“The lucknow conclave has not passed any resolution or had discussion on Bihar or Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. We do not discuss politics,” he said and refuted allegations that during the last lok Sabha elections RSS had worked for the BJP.

‘’We only want a change in the governance because the last government was very corrupt. So we worked for 100 per cent voting. It is unfortunate we failed to come close to that mark,’’ he said.

Joshi said there could be several critical remark against the organisation but they are not worried about it. “As the people love us and support us, why should we worry about what the politicians or political outfit say about us,” he said.

The RSS leader claimed that criticism of the RSS do not stand as more than 1.25 lakh youths have joined the organisation last year.

Reiterating RSS ideology on Hindutava Joshi made it clear that the organisation continues to apprise majority community of their rights and duties. “We are not anti-Muslims. Whoever wants to join RSS are free to do so and there is no disparity on the name of religion or caste,” he said.

Elaborating upon the expansion of the RSS in the past three years, he said 4500 shakhas were added and every month around 4000 new people are joining the organisation.

He said RSS has taken up 250 villages in the country for integrated development where organisation will work for the upliftment of education, health, cleanness, social activity,

agriculture development and setting up of cottage industries.

‘’We think that rural youths and others should plan for their own development and the government agencies should only assist them in their work. Organisations like RSS just work with the local people to achieve their goal,’’ he said.
