RSS and UP govt will held high-profile meeting tomorrow

A high-profile coordination committee meeting between the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak (RSS) functionaries and the UP government will be held on Tuesday to discuss the implementation of government policies. The meeting will also be attended by senior BJP leaders. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is not likely to attend the meeting as he will be visiting New Delhi on Tuesday but his two deputies, Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya, are likely to attend the meet. RSS sah-sarkaryavah (joint general secretary) Dattatreya Hosebole and Krishna Gopal with represent the RSS while state BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey and its organisational secretary Sunil Bansal will attend the meet. Hosebole is the second-in-command in the RSS and considered close to Narendra Modi. Sources in the BJP said that many issues like the implementation of development schemes, law and order situation, agrarian crisis and coordination between ministers and party workers would be discussed. “In the last meeting, the RSS had asked the state government to make appointments in corporations and honour dedicated Sangh and BJP workers with plum postings. But this was not done and the issue is likely to be raised in the meeting,” the source said.

There is an understanding between the RSS and the BJP that both will hold coordination meeting once a month. In this meeting, the RSS will apprise the BJP of people’s reaction about the Yogi government. The BJP, in turn, will inform RSS leaders about schemes it wants to introduce and take suggestions from Sangh leaders.
