The development of electric power generation and its supply all over the State is a major matter of concern. The progress of power sector will be very beneficial for the State. Chief Secretary, R S Sharma said this today at a review meeting with Energy Department at Project Building.
CS directed to make a chart for input and output units of electricity transmission to identify the loophole in the system. He also said to submit a list of input and output divisions and rank the people who are found guilty in the process.
Sharma said that there should be structural changes in the model of rural franchisees. The franchisee should be responsible for the distribution of supply as well as maintenance of components that are involved in the transmission procedure. There should be an agency accountable for maintenance of the power supply division-wise, he added.
Principal Secretary Energy, Vimal Kirti, Chairman, Jharkhand State Electricity Board, S.N. Verma, Special Secretary, Energy Department, Vikram Singh Gaud along other officials were present in the meeting.
