A rousing welcome awaits Swamy Prasad Maurya on his return to lucknow on Wednesday after he joined the BJP in New Delhi on Monday.
State BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that party workers will accord a warm welcome to Maurya as they were excited over his induction and the enthusiasm is likely to spill over on streets on Wednesday.
Maurya will be landing atthe Amausi airpost at 1 pm and will be taken to the state BJP headquarters in a motorcade. Hoardings and arches have come up at many places to welcome the former BSP leader.
Political pundits believe that Maurya is a big catch for the BJP. It will not only help the party in strengthening its base among the OBCs but has also given a serious jolt to Mayawati. leaders believe that Maurya’s induction will give the BJP upper hand in 42 constituencies.
