Rastriya lokdal (RlD) leaders met Governor B l Joshi and demanded immediate revocation of the suspension order of Noida SDM Durga Shakti Nagpal, on Saturday. They also charged state government of having nexus with mining mafias and demanded a judicial probe into it so that real face of the Akhilesh Yadav and his cabinet colleagues has been exposed before everyone.
According to official communiqué of the RlD, a delegation of the Party led by president Munna Singh Chauhan, met Governor Bl Joshi and handed over him a memorandum demanding a high level judicial probe into the "nexus" between the government and sand mafia in the State. The Party made claims in the memorandum that senior Samajwadi Party leader Narendra
Bhati’s statement on suspension of Durga Shakti Nagpal clearly exposed the nexus between the State and sand mining mafia raising doubts over Akhilesh Yadav led government. It was further mentioned in the memorandum that though Gautam Budh Nagar's (Noida) district magistrate in his report has ruled out Shakti's role in demolition of the wall but still the government went ahead with his suspension clearly pointing that the action was taken at behest of the sand mining mafias.
Meanwhile leaders of Communist Party of India (CPI) also took out a march from their Party office till Vidhan Sabha to show their solidarity with the suspended IAS officer, Durga Shakti Nagpal on Saturday afternoon. Speaking of the occasion, Party’s state secretary, Dr Girish claimed that state government has openly giving patronage to mining mafias hence the honest officer was punished for daring to lay her hands on the illegal flourishing business across the State.
He said that even voices against injustice towards an IAS officer has been raised from all quarters but state government is adamant to punish her and also those bureaucrats who now dared to rally behind her. He charged that terming the resignation as a fall out of damage to wall of on-going construction of a mosque on government’s land which would led to communal tension is yet another shameful move of the government as they were trying to connect it with religion sentiments just to polarise the voters. They demanded that Akhilesh should withdraw suspension otherwise the Party will continue it’s protest.
