Former Congress State president and local MlA from Cantt, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, accused prime minister, Narendra Modi of patronizing the `Outfits’ which are proclaiming themselves to be well-wishers of the `Hindu’.
She alleged that such Outfits are sleeping modules of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), working to polarise the community on communal line and later making political mileage out of it. Rita was talking to media persons soon after joining of youth leader, DP Singh, who took membership of the Congress along with over 100 of his supporters here at Party’s state head-quarter on Friday afternoon.
``Organisations like Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Yuva Vahini etc are nothing but sleeping modules of the BJP. They are acting just to polarise the society on communal line and fulfilling the agenda of the BJP, hence they are having silent support of prime minister, Narendra Modi”, alleged Congress leader, Rita Bahuguna Joshi. She was reacting to recent controversy arising out of announcement a “temple” dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse will be constructed in Meerut, as well as conversion, love-Jehad controversies etc in the State.
``The day, Narendra Modi, who was leader of the House in the Parliament put Sakhi Maharaj in the front to speak on Government’s behalf on Communal Violence Bill in the Parliament, it was loud and clear that the Prime Minister wanted to set `Communal’ agenda in the country through which his Party get majority in the last Parliament election”, asserted Rita Bahuguna Joshi, while accusing Modi of using communal agenda to polarise the voters and making political gain out of it.
\\Congress former state president also questioned Modi that if he is really having secular values than why he maintained a silence over such unlawful move of the Outfits which are working for the BJP. Congress leader also not spared state government on the issue alleging that no stern action showed that the ruling Party is also trying to get political mileage out of such controversies.
``Neither any preventive arrest or legal proceedings or even later after involvement of `act’ by Hindu outfits which are dangerous for social harmony, clearly pointed that state government is also facilitating such anti-national activities in the state as they see political gain out of it”, Rita alleged while accusing both BJP and Samajwadi Party of having nexus on communal agenda. Meanwhile, to bring the Congress back out of the ICU, state president Nirmal Khatri and AICC general secretary, Madhusudan Mistri, who is also incharge of Party affairs here in UP, will felicitate the old Party leaders in order to boost up their morale. Khatri has selected the Party’s foundation day on December 28 to organise the function.
Interestingly, the state president so far failed to form state level Committee of the Party’s organisation. According to spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Virendra Madan, the incharge of the Congress Sewa Dal, Prahlad Dwivedi, and other volunteers would take out a march from UPCC office till GPO and after garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, they would come back after which the programme will be organised on coming
Sunday.
He said that the leader of all the Frontal Organisation of the Congress, former presidents of Youth Congress, NSUI, district presidents, all former officer bearers in All India Youth Congress, NSUI, former union presidents of Universities of UP, who were still in the Congress etc, will be felicitated on the occasion. Sources said that the leadership would also invited suggestions that how the oldest political Party could be revived back, particularly in Uttar Pradesh.
A library will be also opened on the occasion at UPCC office.
