Remove illegal barriers says CM

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has directed District magistrates to remove all illegal barriers erected by District Panchayat and other organisations so that people are not harassed on the name of taxes.

The directive was issued during a review meeting of revenue department held here on Monday.

He said that time to time people tell him about illegal barriers being put up by the District Panchayat or other government agencies. These barriers impede movement of goods and traffic. This is not all even officials fleece people on the name of taxes.

“It is the responsibility of district magistrates of respective districts to remove these barriers at the earliest. Strict action should be taken against the people or organisations who put up these illegal barriers,” Yadav said in his directives

Yadav said that Samajwadi party Government is committed to welfare of people. We want that no illegal barriers should be put up anywhere in the state. People should not be harassed. Officials should ensure that people get all benefits,” he said.
