Ravi Kishan set to enter active politics

Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan is all set to enter active politics. He claimed that he would contest the scheduled lok Sabha elections from Jaunpur lok Sabha seat in the State.

"Even if the Congress denies to make me its candidate, I would contest the hustings from this very seat only," Kishan said while talking to journalists in Jaunpur on Thursday morning. The Congress party has suggested three names to the central leadership for the final selection, but I will contest the polls from this very seat only, he maintained.

He claimed that he wanted to do efface the woes of the people and make country corruption-free akin to Singapore. The popular Bhojpuri actor, who also acted in about 50 Hindi films, said he is also acting in Marathi and Telugu movies.  Adding to it, he informed that his nine films are scheduled for release this year. During last Parliament as well as Assembly elections, Kishen participated in campaign for the Congress party in some seats.
