State was rocked with series of killings and sexual assault with 16 murders and half a dozen rape cases reportedly during the last 24-hours. In Bagpat, a woman and her three children were found murdered at their house in Ramala area on Thurwsday morning. Bodies of Salma (32), her daughters Kareena (10), Asma (6) and son Sufiyaan (8) were recovered from a house in Kithwal village. local police which rushed to the spot claimed that the throats of the victims were slit with a sharp-edged weapon but the reason behind the murder was not clear immediately. Salma’s husband Alamgeer is a bus driver and was not at home when the incident took place. The bodies have been sent for post mortem and the matter is being investigated.
In Gonda, 19-year-old Ajay Singh, a resident of Kundervadand locality of Karnailganj, was returning home along with his friend Manau Awasthi, when two motorcycle borne unknown youths opened fire on them in which Ajay died on the spot. Some local resident who responded to SOS of the victims, also opened fire in which one of the criminal was also injured and shifted to hospital. A case was registered and all out efforts were made to nab one of the absconding accused. The motive behind the killing could not be confirmed.
In Hardoi, a young couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Thursday morning. local police claimed that duo allegedly committed suicide by shooting themselves in Behadar village under Kasimpur police station area. They claimed that on hearing gun shots, villagers ran to the house of one Jagdamba where his daughter Sheelu (19) and Amit (22) were found lying in a pool of blood. While the boy died on the spot, the girl died while being taken to the nearby health centre. The cops said that the marriage of the girl was fixed for coming April 27hence duo seems to have ended their lives. Amit was living as a tenent in the girl’s house for past two years and had appeared for B Sc final year examination.
In Allahabad also, body of a 35-year-old youth and 30-year-old woman, both naked found near the railway track at Zabradih locality of Handiyaon Thursday morning. It seems that duo were killed by someone and their bodies were later dumped near the track to make it a case of suicide. The cops also not ruled out possibility of honour killing as the motive behind the killing. A case was registered and efforts were made to identify the victims.
In Faizabad, an elderly Mahant of the famous Braham Baba temple in holy town of Ayodhya was found dead in premises of the temple on Thursday morning. The 62-year-old priest was found in blood at his accommodation in the temple early Thursday morning and police is suspecting it to be a murder done possibly by someone to acquire the powers of temple. The murder seems to be done in order to take over the powers of the temple by any of his disciples or other Sadhus, police is investigating the matter, Faizabad SP City R S Gautam told media persons.In Ambedkarnagar, body of a 35-year-old unknown made was recovered from Goprichatpur area of Jaitpur on Thursday morning. The youth had two bullet injury marks which showed that he was shot somewhere else and later his body was dumped to conceal the crime.
In Balia, 23-year-old Amresh Kumar Patel aka Nayab, a resident of Paliakurmipur under Ubhav police station, was returning home when he was shot dead by two motorcycle borne miscreants on Wednesday night. The motive behind the killing could not be confirmed. In Ferojabad, 30-year-old Rahul Jain, was sitting at his medical shop in Mahaweernagar area of Dakshin, when some unknown miscreants shot him dead. In Hapur, headless body of one Krishnaveer (40), a resident of Naglakatak in Bibinagar area, was found lying near a canal at Vankhanda area of Babugarh in Hapur district on Wednesday night. local police suspected that the victim was killed somewhere else and later the body was dumped there.
In one more case reported from lucknow, body of a 10-year-old girl was recovered lying unclaimed from Paigaramau locality of Gudamba on Wednesday night. The victim seems to be sexually assaulted and later on murdered. local police during interrogation arrested one Sufiyan, a resident of Kamlapur in Sitapur, after finding his involvement in the sensational crime. In Fatehpur, 27-year-old Rajupal, a resident of Badhwa in lalauli, was shot dead by his younger brother on Wednesday evening. In Saharanpur, 46-year-old farmer, identified as Devendra, a resident of Tatarpur area of Gangoh, was shot dead by local villager, Rampal, and Subham on Thursday morning.
In Muzaffarnagar, a 23-year-old was allegedly gang raped by four armed youths who tied her husband to a tree after forcibly stopping the couple who were travelling on a motorcycle with their five-month-old child. The incident occurred on Wednesday night when the victim along with her husband and child was returning from Saharanpur to
Shamli district. Four youths came in a car and intercepted their motorcycle. They dragged the woman to a garden and raped her after tying her husband with a tree. They also looted cash from the couple. In Rae Bareli, Monu, Raju, lala and Kirti Singh, all hailing from Kulhiya hamlet of Diranpur in Gadaganj, reportedly nabbed a local 16-year-old girl when she returning after attending the call of nature on Wednesday night. The accused pulled her inside bushed and raped her one by one. A case was registered and further investigations are on. In Sahabar area of Kansganj, a 12-year-old boy reportedly raped a 10-year-old girl when she went to graze her cattle on Wednesday evening. In Ghazaibad, a 22-year-old woman was lured in the name of giving her job by one Taufiq, a resident of Dhaulana lalpur.
She claimed that the accused took her to a hotel to arrange interview but he cheated and raped her inside the hotel on Wednesday night. A case was registered but no one was arrested. In lucknow also, a 12-year-old girl residing in Priyadarshani Colony, was kidnapped and raped for two days by one Atul Dixit, a resident of Bharatnagar in Madiyaon. The girl returned her home on Wednesdayevening and revealed her trauma after which the family members lodged a case. In Hamirpur, a 4-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped by some unknown miscreants in Kotwali area on Wednesday evening. The victim was found lying unconscious on Thursday morning.
