Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that a Ram temple would be constructed at Ayodhya at any cost but people should wait for the Supreme Court verdict.
He also claimed that there was no dispute within the Uttar Pradesh government and there was no problem in co-ordination.
“Ram temple will be built at any cost in Ayodhya but as the Supreme Court verdict is expected soon, everyone should wait for it,” Maurya said while addressing media persons in Azamgarh on Thursday.
The Deputy Chief Minister avoided questions on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement that the Union government should bring a legislation on constructing Ram temple.
Maurya said the Wednesday’s meeting, chaired by Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah, in Lucknow was a regular thing and it was called on the initiative of the RSS.
“There is no dispute as such within the government or the party,” he claimed.
Maurya had gone to Azamgarh on Thursday to visit the residence of state Environment Minister Dara Singh Chauhan to pay condolence on the death of his father.
