Virtual lighting of lamp at Ram Lalla’s darbar
To ensure that no one is deprived of the joy of lighting a lamp of faith in the darbar of Ram Lalla, the state government has made a plan to guarantee virtual attendance of millions of devotees in the darbar this year at Ayodhya during the Deepotsava.
“On the special instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government will launch a portal where virtual lamps can be lit by the devotees,” an official said here on Sunday.
He said that the ‘virtual’ Deepotsava would be no less real than the actual one and thus this platform would enable a never before real experience.
The portal will have a portrait of Shri Ram Lalla Virajman before which the virtual lamps will be lit. The portal will offer the facility to pick up the lamp stand of one’s choice — steel, brass or of any other material. An option of using ghee or oil will also be available for the devotees.
“Not only this, the hands of the person lighting up the lamp will be based on whether the devotee is a man or a woman. After the lamps are lit, based on the details of the devotees, a thank you digital letter carrying the picture of Shri Ram Lalla from the UP CM will also be issued,” the official said.
The web portal will be available for the common people before the main event on November 13.
It may be mentioned here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Deepotsava in ‘virtual mode’.
However ,Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions to make the Ayodhya Deepotsava grander this time without any breach of Covid protocol. Directives have also been issued to hold different events daily and to ensure that all Covid protocols are adhered to.
The chief minister has also said that on Deepotsava, along with Ram Ki Pauri, all Mutts, temples and homes will also light lamps so that the whole temple town of Ayodhya is lit up in bright light.
The government is aiming to light up some 5.51 lakh lamps this time.
The chief minister will view tableaux depicting various episodes of Ramayan. He will also perform the aarti of Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi premises.
