Ram Janmabhoomi issue will be resolved soon

Advocating a dialogue to resolve the vexed Ram Janmabhoomi issue, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that if both sides come to the dialogue table, the issue could be resolved amicably and it would send a positive message around the world.

“The Ram Janmabhoomi issue will be resolved soon. The Supreme Court has given indication of early disposal of the case. But it would be unprecedented if the issue is resolved through a dialogue,” Yogi said while addressing a ‘shadradhanjali sabha’ of Ram Chandra Paramhans in Ayodhya on Wednesday.

Yogi said that recently the Supreme Court had suggested many options to both sides to resolve the issue. “I also advocate that dialogue is the best option to resolve this vexed issue. If we resolve it amicably through dialogue, a positive signal will be sent across the world as to how a complex issue could be solved through talks,” Yogi said and added that solution to this issue will be come out from positive politics.

“Places like Ayodhya and Kashi have given a new culture. The message of world unity emanates from these places. It is unfortunate that these places have remained neglected in previous regimes. The BJP government has taken up the challenge to give the due position that these cities deserve,” Yogi said.

The Chief Minister came to Ayodhya to attend an event organised to mark the 14th death anniversary of Ramchandra Das Paramhans - the high priest of Digamber Akhada who till his death in 2003 was synonymous with the temple movement. It is the second visit of the Chief Minister to Ayodhya after taking over reins. He had earlier visited Ayodhya on May 31 and paid obeisance at the makeshift temple at Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

Yogi said that questions were being raised to his frequent visits to Ayodhya. “Why these questions are being raised now. People know I am a Ram Bhakt first. I will come to Ayodhya regularly and no one should question this,” Yogi said.

The Chief Minister declared that renovation of ghats in Ayodhya and Mathura will be taken up on a war footing. “Ram leela and Ras leela should be organised in Ayodhya and Mathura regularly. Ram leela is engraved in every Indian’s life. We should help in promoting it,” he said.

Yogi also exhorted the people not to dirty rivers and not to throw plastic in Ganga or Saryu.

Incidentally, some of the saints were not allowed to participate in the ‘shradhanjali sabha’ of Ram Chandra Paramhans and they protested against the administration
