BJP national president Rajnath Singh will lead party’s anti- Government agitation and would court arrest under Jail Bharo aandolan on June 26.
Party spokesman Manoj Mishra said that Singh would arrive on June 26 morning and along with senior party leader Kalraj Mishra, party state president laxmi Kant Bajpai, and local MP lalji Tandon court arrest. The BJP is organising Jail Bharo aandolan to protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in the state as well as highlighting lack of development in Uttar Pradesh.
"Thousands of party workers would court arrest along with these senior leaders," Mishra said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
He said before the national party president takes part in agitation he would be given a rousing welcome at the airport. This would be first official visit of Singh as party president after his elevation to this coveted post for the second time.
