Rajnath Singh uproot the 'corrupt' Congress-led UPA

BJP president Rajnath Singh asked the people to assess the situation and uproot the 'corrupt' Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.

"It is now in the hands of the people to take a correct decision and show the corrupt government the doors," Singh said while addressing a 'Swabhiman rally' at Anaj Mandi Maidan in Devchara, in Bareilly on Wednesday.

Announcing to hold 15 similar rallies in UP, the BJP supreme said that the UPA government at the Centre has been involved in scams amounting to Rs 5.50 lakh crores so far.

The government was benefiting industrialists and capitalists in the name of waiving off loans to the farmers, he alleged.

"Opposition leaders claimed that they are united to stop BJP from coming to power, but I assure that my party would not claim formation of government at the Centre, if the Bahujan Samaj Party and the ruling Samajwadi Party withdraw support to the UPA," Singh said.

BJP chief further alleged that India was having a weak Prime Minister, which is the main reason being Chinese incursion in the country.

'Chinese troops are continuously occupying Indian soil, which is not a good sign for us,' he said, adding, the visit of union minister for External Affairs Salman Khurshid to China in such a situation was not safe.

Further, the non-BJP rule in past many years has resulted in 362 communal violent incidents in UP, in which at least 65 people lost their lives, Singh stated.

Eighteen incidents of communal violence have occurred in the state since the formation of the Samajwadi Party government, the BJP chief noted.

Speaking on the occasion, Pilibhit MP and BJP general secretary Varun Gandhi asked the people, especially the youth, to come forward and contribute for the formation of the right governance.

'We only want that the people to be benefited by the right governance...corruption and criminal incidents always rise under the regime of the BSP and the SP,' Gandhi said.

The Pilibhit MP promised to create job opportunities for the youth, if BJP gets a chance to rule at the Centre.

UP BJP president Dr laxmikant Bajpayee also denounced the UP government for deteriorating law and order and wide-spread anarchy. The people were feeling insecure under the current SP government, he maintained.
