Leader of Jansatta Party and MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya met former chief minister and Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, sparking fresh speculations of both the parties forging an alliance before the crucial assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

The development took place days after SP leaders had meetings with Rashtriya Lok Dal and Aam Aadmi Party leaders.

After the meeting, Raja Bhaiya told reporters that he had come to wish Netaji (as Mulayam Singh Yadav is called) on his birthday.

“Every year I personally come to wish him a healthy life on his birthday. This time I was out of the station, so I came today,” he said.

He further said: “Please do not add political connotation to this visit. If something materialises, I will let you know.”

Mulayam Singh Yadav’s birthday was on November 20.
